I have always been impressed by the boy-scoutish idea of doing "one good deed per day" or "One drop raises the ocean". I cannot make this world (real or virtual) a better place on my own, but if we all do one good deed per day, together we will make a change.

For the last two years I invested part of my time to something that I deem worth to get promoted and that puts at least a bit of a challenge to my virtual skills. Things or ideas that cannot afford to hire someone to do what's needed. (/me thinks Villain is sounding pompous)

Virtual Printers Guild ( 2011 )

Together with Trilby Minotaur and Ephraim Dalglish I founded the Virtual Printers Guild in Secondlife.

Rainbow Gates ( 2010 )

At the beginning of 2010 one of my oldest friends Draghan Marksman approached me with the idea for a network to connect the different GLBT communities in Secondlife. Draghan hosts a sim called Brokeback Babylon that fights homophobia. He introduced me to Zack Premminger who is one of the guys behind Second Pride. Second Pride "serves, supports and empowers the diverse LGBT communities of Second Life".

"Who, me? But I am not even gay." was my answer to their question for my support to script the gates. It was a challenge and since they didn't have any prejudices aginst me for being (and staying) straight, I gladly took up the challenge and scripted the Rainbow Gates for the LGBT community.
